Watch The Intro To Gears of War: Ultimate Edition
With little over a month to go before the release of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, game development studio The Coalition has released the full intro cinematic to the game. If it looks a bit familiar, it’s because the Ultimate Edition is a remake of the first game, but with some tweaks and fixes.
Microsoft will sell a Standard Edition at $39.99 and a Deluxe Edition at twenty dollars extra that will include extra skins and multiplayer characters. All buyers will also gain access to beta testing for Gears of War 4, to commence sometime in 2016.
Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will have everything the original did — all 19 original multiplayer maps, split-screen and LAN support, and all original game modes plus Team Deathmatch and King of the Hill — but don’t look for things the sequels had. This means no Horde Mode. Upon the release of the game, all new XBox Ones for the rest of 2015 will come packaged with a digital code that will gift the console buyer a free copy. Gears of War: Ultimate Edition comes out August 25 for XBox One.
Anyway, enough reading. Get to watching those Locusts attack.
