Nah... she knew enough to protect her hand with a rag, I think she would have been quick enough to open it and pull her hand back without getting burned. I think we are going to see her being "bad ass" and getting injured like that would not be bad ass at all.

 

Some will dress in layers, even in the heat, so that the inner layer acts as an insulator from the direct heat of the sun.

 

Looks like Nick is being invited to come to the fortress. I suspect that is the hotel.

 

I took it that he has a fortress because of the killers who are protecting him.

 

Me thinks he had something entirely different in mind whilst commenting on layered clothes in the heat.

 

She didn't even glance up once to see if a walker was approaching while looking under the hood of that car. But at least she ripped her shirt off and wrapped it around her hand...impressive.

The conversation in that video clip was hard to discern, but I think he was telling Nick, that he is able to team up with the biggest drug dealers in the area, because... he has something they want, ... he has a fortress. I think that he means, that all they have to do is to take it (the hotel) and it is theirs.

He knows the area, and knows where Elena works, and what the hotel looks like and that it is fenced and walled off. Has towers for snipers, a generator, etc.

Certainly the guy who controls all the drugs in the area, has a number of bad-ass hit-men. So he doesn't NEED the previous bad guy, other than for the location of the fortress, and a few extra guns, with guys who are not afraid of crowd control, wouldn't be all that bad.

 

I thought they were talking about La Colonia as a fortress (mainly its geographic advantage - only one way in and can see all around. Could turn it into a castle for sure). If they are talking about the hotel, then ho ho all those people in the hotel are gonna have a difficult time with Marco and his band of violent men armed with automatic weapons.... How is Team Madison supposed to fight that? Have the sick and vulnerable cough on them? Unleash Ilene and angry Travis? Haha

Yeah, Colonia as a fortress does make sense. They even have a moat full of walkers ;-)
People are leaving though, I don't know the main reason, but they are running out of water.
The hotel at least has a water supply, but we don't know if it is well water, or from the municipality.

 

I wonder if Antonio would risk having his aunt and brother killed by telling Marco about the hotel. Almost cold lol
