Also. Do zombies not attack animals? It would make dogs pretty bad zombie guards :(

I thought they looked like feral pigs. But, then again., I'd really want some bacon rather than hot dog.

Makes sense and is logical, hence the reason why TWD writers didn't think of it.

They certainly do. We've seen them eat horses, dogs, and those poor little piggies.

I remember bringing this up in the forum not long ago ...about the lack of wild dogs, especially in packs. This was evidently 'in the can' for some time, so I don't take credit as the writers must have considered it. Like minds, I guess. As carnivorous predators, I would be careful about eating the dogs, as they might have snacked on walkers at some point, and who knows what pathogens could transfer. The Hunters ate Bob's infected leg, though, and didn't get sick; so maybe it would be OK if cooked long enough.

Ohhhhhhhhh yeah! Thanks for the reminder. Strange then these wild stray animals are not attacked or not attacking zombies. Thats what I read somewhere. If the zombie disease/virus do not infect animals. They would have been pretty much exctinct to wildlife sooner than later :)

Well dogs are pretty quick and smart. If they learn to keep away from the walkers then the walkers have little chance of catching them since they are so slow. The dogs biggest threat is starvation at this point.

Exactly! They can pretty much survive them with easy if they do not get surrounded by a herd.
