Gave it an 8. Loved the suspense, the creepyness, and the emotional turmoil.

Can't understand anything the Whisperers do, too many plot-driven decisions.

 

10. Excellent episode.
The suspense was killing me.
Loved the way they showed them coming together and fighting before they were killed.
But I think that Alpha made a mistake leaving Siddiq alive. It's probably going to have an effect that's the opposite of what she's hoping for. I don't know.
That herd is a scary deterrent to revenge, though.
My prediction: Carol is going to end her.

 

10. One of the best episodes in the series.

 

I gave it a 4. Seemed too much like 'a very special episode'. This episode had Gimple written all over it.

And how exactly did Alpha sneak all of those people out of a fenced, sealed community?

Just silly.

 

This morning, I am currently rewatching the entire episode because I missed the last 25 minutes last night, but I already don't like being this upset. Based on how much this feels like a homework assignment that I don't want anything to do with, I don't think I can give it more than a 5. That's one grief point deduction for each of the deaths that totally break my spirit from watching Talking Dead and one more group deduction point for all of the people I didn't really know but who were kind and in love and deserved more happiness in this tragic world. For me, a 10 has to be something I would watch again without feeling like I'm under duress. I know that's unfair of me, but that's my score anyway.

Maybe I will be sufficiently revived by the impending Negan aspect, to rerate it later, so I will wait before clicking the five box. But I suspect this will always be one of two episodes I won't ever watch again. Even the amazing scenes from the fair have that foreshadowing violin music weeping through them.

 

Oh, no. I forgot about The Highway Men. I'm down to a four now....

 

The whole show is "just silly". As for getting the prisoners I had the same thought, but then many of the people were at the theatre so it would have been easier to move about unnoticed. I expect an answer would be that she had Whisperers just outside the Kingdom. She certainly couldn't have done it herself. And Alpha's group is quite used to being stealthy and quiet. I just take it for what it is - a tv show storyline.

 

Haven't handed out an 8 in a long time. Ok SO ALpha looking like a real person, honestly why would she want to go back to being a swamp monster. I know , I know, it's their thing but aargh!

Love the part where she sits down next to Lydia.
Pikes - yeahhhh some of it...was "omg" the rest...I am annoyed that the highway men were done. I was hearing rumours about Enid but Tara was a bit of a shock to me. I didn't really see that one coming and I thought it might have been Rosita.

The end with Carol's subdued mourning upon hearing about Henry was great. Such a fine piece of acting from them both.

TWD is exciting again...!

 

I also thought at first glance it was Rosita and not Tara. I admit I was caught off guard by the number of deaths although I thought Highway Men and Frankie were fodder and would be killed off. TTD likened Carol seeing Henry's head and Daryl hugging her to the scene in season 2 where Carol's daughter came out of the barn as a walker. Gripping.

 

A good rate from me as well!
