As you would expect from a community composed almost entirely of women, and until recently, solely of woman, Ocean Side has strong, confident woman. An interesting evidence of that is the dialog over fixing the fishing net between Luke and Jules, where you actually see the words you would usually hear from a male character coming from Jules and vice versa. Jules is hitting on Luke, and Luke is the unconfident, embarrassed and giggling side.
