Then why would she call Gabe an "A" then knock him out and planned on letting a Walker bite him?

To me the "A" thing seems to be associated with having a person bit. She never designated Negan, but Rick and Gabe were and both were set up to be bitten by a Walker. Rick was a "b" when she was trying to help him.

 

I’m saying that she probably lied, when she told them he was a B.

this is what I said too, she changed and was trying to save a friend that saved her, meaning her humanity. She heard on the walkie Rick blew up the bridge, it was selfless. It will be easy for Rick to fake being a B when she tells him how it is.
