All time best COD maps

    Dunno if this thread has been done before, but although I really enjoy BO2 (esp. the new loadout system) I don't think the maps are up to much.

    So, have taken the time to pick my best maps out, 2 from each of SOLEY the basic maps (not DLC) from COD4/MW2/BO1/MW3/BO2 but EXCLUDED World at War. Gone 2 from each version to make the top 10.

    Quarry from MW2.
    This map was epic, from the rush through the middle at the start to the covering sniping from all over the place and low level rushing game - this map has it all.

    Favela from MW2.
    Lots of run & gun here, but easy to pick people off from rooftops waaaay across the map.

    Firing Range from BO1.
    EVERYONE LOVED THIS MAP! Hahahahaha

    WMD from BO1.
    I really enjoyed this map, loads of midrange battles and enough buildings to hold down an area without having more windows than microsoft.

    Seatown from MW3.
    Probably a bit controversial one this, I know a lot of people didnt like it, but i did really well sniping on this.

    Mission from MW3.
    Loved this map, the high level section for SMG's and then that MASSIVE long open section with the house and cliff at each end for snipers.

    Wet Work from COD4.
    This was the archetypal COD map for me. Real simple but brilliant. I got a five person melee streak running the middle of this map once - AND BRING BACK NIGHTVISION!!

    Bog from COD4.
    This was a really difficult decision, but one of the few maps in any of the COD's where you could proper commando crawl basically right up to someone and cut their throat. gold.

    Yemen from BO2.
    Best combo of buildings/spaces and passages with cover. a bit cluttered but much more variety than almost all other BO2 maps.

    Turbine from BO2.
    Kind of picked this as a poor man's Afghan from MW2. One of the only large maps on BO2, and seem like DOZENS of hideyholes.

    I really could have picked nearly all COD4 maps to be honest............. !!

    Why exclude waw.. That's 1 to me had some of the best maps in cod history. Castle airfield asylum cliff side upheaval and of course SEELOW !!!!!
    Bo1 (including dlc) villa is my all time fave then it's stockpile firing rang summit grid array jungle Berlin Wall. Never player mw3 long enough or don't remember much of mw2. Mw gotta say all of them lol

    lol I hated mission with a passion. Loved seatown and arkaden in that game though. It's been a long time since I played CoD4, but I remember liking all the maps. Same with W@W, with the exception of roundhouse, and maybe a few others. Cliffside, castle, and that one little village map (can't remember the name) were all great. I never played much MW2 or BO1, so I don't know about the maps in those. From the little bit of BO1 I played though it seemed like the maps were pretty cool.

    There are many more good maps than this but these are my favorites from each game that I've played.

    COD4 - Overgrown
    WAW - Seelow
    MW2 - Favela
    BLOPS - Firing Range
    MW3 - Mission
    BLOPS2 - Hijacked

    I hear ya. WaW IMO had by far the best maps collection of any CoD.

    Anyway, here's what I think:

    CoD4:
    -Overgrown
    -Bog
    -Strike
    -Crash

    WaW:
    (All were amazing, but here are the ones that stand out further)
    -Clffside
    -Seelow
    -Airfield
    -Corrosion
    -Upheaval

    MW2:
    -Afghan
    -Highrise
    -Terminal
    -Quarry

    BO:
    -Summit
    -Firing Range
    -Havana

    MW3:
    (All were ******* trash, but the tolerable ones were: )
    -Hardhat
    -Mission

    BO2:
    -Turbine
    -Slums
    -Express

    I love hi rise in MW2 . Was so much fun. Getting to the secret sniping spot. I miss that map .

    Started playing CoD when WaW came out but I don't remember any of the maps

    MW2 - was hard to pick just 3 maps, I liked a lot of the MW2 maps
    -Invasion
    -Highrise
    -Terminal

    BO
    -Firing Range
    -Summit
    -Radiation

    MW3
    -Dome
    -Hardhat
    -Mission

    BO2
    -Standoff
    -Grid
