Credit to someone on reddit for pointing this out. I went back and watched the episode and found a good shot of Al's tapes and took a pic of one of them.

Could be the connection needed to bride the two shows, make a verbal connection, or just an easter egg.

At some point I wonder if Al shows the group the videos or makes mention of meeting a soldier and a Doctor who were headed to Washington because the Doctor claimed to have the ability to create a cure. Morgan could then fill Al in on what happened to them.

Either way it's a really cool catch.
