Haha, I have done that too, and then drank the wine. Not a good idea lol. I only started snacking in bed when I moved my tv into the bedroom. Now it doubles as the couch since we only have one TV. Once it's warm outside I'll probably put it in the basement again and stop eating in bed like a grub haha.

You don't see the religious symbolism in a story about the apocalypse? With a character named Jesus on board? I don't see how the symbolism could have been any more obvious. The days of living in paradise will soon come to an end.

Even so, that doesn't mean that this scene is displaying religious themes by default. I also interpreted this scene as them showing the food they had obtained from the Hilltop.

    I
Forgot about the mention of Jesus. Ok... I guess I can kind of see the religious symbolism there.

It's pretty clear to see the Religious Symbolism in this scene... It would be Hilarious if you thought that scene was really about an apple..

This scene is open to interpretation anyways, so I don't see how it's clear to see.

They aren't gonna be leaving Alexandria any time soon. This isn't like Hershel's Farm or The Prison. There here for the long haul this time.

They are going to lose their naivety as to the real state of the world, not only did their world get a whole lot bigger, but they aren't the top dogs anymore either.

Yeah, yeah, symbolism, symbolism, blah blah blah. I got that, but I also remembered that... (drumroll, please!)... THEY HAVE A G-- D--- APPLE ORCHARD NEARBY! Doesn't anyone else remember that Aaron told them that in episode 5.11 (I think) when he tried to give them apple sauce for Judith? I mean, who could forget that totally believable story of his mother force-feeding him apple sauce to make him more of a man? A proven technique, I hear.

Anyway, I'm betting that of the foodstuffs they got from Hilltop, apples weren't in there. Heck, Alexandria could end up being the apple juice/cider/sauce/pie supplier for the entire region if things were to ever settle down enough to actually have trading taking place. And with the barley that Deanna had planned, they could start brewing beer as well, making them the premier alcohol supplier for miles around. They could be sitting pretty if those pesky Saviors would just bug off!
