    When Carol and Ezekiel are in the woods, Jerry kills a walker with patches missing. Ezekiel wonders what is wrong with it? What could this mean about that particular walker?

    I was wondering the same thing. They all stop and discuss it briefly. It's a hint to future plot twists. I thought the walker looked like he'd been in acid...

    Definitely a future plot twist. It reminded me of the walkers with the W carved in their foreheads.

    Ezekiel stops in the middle of everything an asks "what befell this creature?" and Carol says, "we don't have time for that now" obviously something coming down the pike.

    The above video talks about the walker being splashed by 'acid' and he thinks the theory of whisperers is ruled out. But, I think it is possible the whisperers are using some kind of chemical agent/acid as peeling agent to remove the skin from a walker. And maybe this walker is a experiment failure or accident. So, I think the theory is still there.

    Glad I looked into this thread. Totally missed this and can definitely see how this could be a foreshadow for things to come.

    At the very least, if not whisperers, then perhaps a foreshadow of Negan's new weapon trick/twist coming up in episode 4?
