I highly doubt it.

 

She absolutely could... but I doubt they would spend half the season looking for a girl only to find her dead in the barn. It would be a kick in the teeth though, not at all unlike Otis being killed and Daryl being shot!

 

Well based on the comic her and Carl have a lot more to do together. BUT that doesn't mean she is alive at all. My theory is that Rick will eventually listen to Shane, and with the pressure that is sure to ensue from Herschel and just leave her behind. And then I think she will catch back up with them later on. That's my theory.

 

She very well could be in the barn...

And that could very well be the catalyst for an OK Corral type showdown between Hershell's people and Rick/Shane's group.

I can easily see Shane or Darryl snapping at the thought of Hershell knowing the whole time she was a lost soul in the barn, but still allowing them to risk their lives looking for her. Especially after what Darryl went through.

Hershell says he doesn't want guns on his land, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have them...
I'm certain he'll become violent if the Rick/Shane's group tries to shoot all the zombies in the barn.

And likewise, I can see either Shane or Darryl...or even Sophie's mom flipping out if she's in there.

Nothing good will come of this.

Yeh I can see this happening. I mean we didnt get to see exactly all of who was in there. There were quite a few walkers in there and they havent been going out too far to look for her so it could very well happen. That little girl was too skittish to still be alive and well and the thought of her being held up in that old house is null and void cause why would she leave from there if there is food and shelter? An adult would do something like that and come back later on before it got dark. Thats what I think.

 

Due to the comic book, I believe Sophia is alive.
There is no way Sophia could survive on her own.
I am guessing someone has her. Taking care of her.
Is it Merle? I would say no. Just a feeling.
I think this is an opportunity for the writers to add a new (or few) characters.

 

I am not sure what this exactly means, but here is a quote from Robert Kirkman:

In order to bring about all of that craziness, Kirkman confirms there will be many new additions to the cast that go beyond those survivors living on Hershel’s farm. The question then becomes: who will these characters be, and from where did they originate? Once again, however, Kirkman proved unwilling to confirm anything about these newcomers – but that just allows fan speculation to go through the roof.

 

That better be Michonne he's referring to, among others. I don't think I can wait another year for her...
