I assume that Daryl snagged a couple of masks that were possibly laying about the perimeter OR he could have laid in wait for a lone whisperer to cross his path, one that was possibly patrolling the outskirts of the camp. Knock them out (or kill them) and then take that whisperers mask. I think the latter makes more Daryl sense than the former

Hoping Dog was left somewhere safe and out of harm's way!

 

I think they got them from straggler walkers,from the herd that the whisperers fed. Then led that herd into the camp, to kill the whisperers.

Yeah def the Whisperers assigned to watch over that field of walkers. Bc there was no warning from them when the herd rolled through camp so I assumed Daryl and Connie took them out.

 

The whisperer who told the other two to leave the bodies - guessing he is the one Daryl "borrowed" the mask from because on re-watch it appears that Daryl also wore said whisperers poncho

 

Dog had on a mask too. He blended in so well y'all just missed him.

 

well i anm imppressed with daryl and connie putting on those masks. can you imagine how much youd have to swallow your vomit after putting one on for the first time.

The first thing we learned about the Whisperer camp was the amount of hides they were curing - from deer, or those horses we heard about, or people possibly. We saw the quality of their work in the 'tarp' that was used to take the two dead challengers to the herd. I'm only guessing, but I'd imagine they process the masks in some way that makes them 'wearable'.

Can't argue with that bit though.

Connie has a very distinct way of moving. When it showed her in her mask stabbing the walker.....it was so obviously her.

 

She was almost perky and cheerful idk lol versus low and creepy like Whisperers when they go for the kill.
