My mistake, yes you're right it was for the entire season. I watched too many shows yesterday, dex, true blood, falling skies & defiance, getting them confused !
Last night's episode was really intriguing. I must say, I really admire what the Vogel character brings to this show-- a motherly figure that accepts Dexter for who he really is.
i think vogel has "other" motives. i think vogel is the other serial killer - the one holding the camcorder. but i think that is because vogel has a plan. we know now that vogel embraces the idea that the psychopath is something like an important mutation for mankind. if she created the code for dexter, then she was probably smart enough to think dexter can't go on forever. i think vogel has a backup plan in case something goes wrong. maybe the backup plan is to develop debra,,,i don't know. but i am saying that there is more to vogel than we think. i was VERY interested in the way she embraced and caressed dexter from behind, as if he was her very special frankenstein, almost like a son. and that whole episode with vogel telling dex she was afraid there's someone in her house was bs. i don't think there was ever anyone in her house. she wanted to get dex out there and "discover" the dvd, which i think she planted. so here's my scenario.....vogel's plan is for deb to be dex's backup in case something happens to dexter, but vogel's plan will fold because of something unexpected - that dexter loves his sister more than his own life and he doesn't want to see debra go down his path. i think in the end, debra will die and dexter will spin out. i personally would like to see dexter end up something like gary oldman in "romeo is bleeding", out somewhere living his own personal hell for the rest of his life. i don't think dexter will die or get caught because that's too easy a solution.
I don't trust the old bitch at all. I have a strong feeling that she's going to be bad for Dex and end up being his downfall.
Last night's episode was pretty intense. I wonder if either Batista, Quinn, or someone from MMH will become suspicious of Dexter after Debra's confession. After all, it is pretty hard to ignore that when both Doakes and LaGuerta look into Dexter's past, they end up dead. Also, I really enjoyed the scenes with Dr.Vogel. She is really fleshing out the character of Dexter more. Usually, the show ends up prematurely killing off characters, but I hope she makes it all the way to the end because I enjoy having her around.
Hahaha, I know right? Quinn is the most oblivious character during the show's eight season run. Him and Batista.
Hopefully Quinn doesn't become central to the plot... Idiot nearly ruined it for me last year with the stripper romance and really, what did it all lead to? It was pointless. I was just mad my dear Ivan died That guy was boss. But in all seriousness, this season is shaping up to be pretty good. Don't trust psychologist chick though. BTW, anyone notice last night's episode was, like, 15 minutes shorter then normal?
Deb is so confusing right now. I didn't appreciate her attempt to kill Dexter but at least she saved him.
Deb has discovered a lot of nasty stuff about her brother, but figuring out that he was the immediate cause of Harry's death? That is too much for her and, in all honesty, if she survives this season, I would not be surprised to see her end up in a rehab clinic or mental institution.
