Yeah, they've had a real surge in people canceling their subscriptions. But there's no reason to take it out on HBO. At the very least they wanted more episodes in seasons 7 & 8 and were also onboard for additional seasons. It was their showcase series. It'll be interesting to see how all of this fallout impacts the prequels.

LOL, I saw another petition for D & D to stay away from Star Wars. The fans are saying they already f**ked up GOTs, so stay away from Star Wars.

The original GOT petition is at 1.6 million now. We haven't heard anything from D&D since the fans revolted. That's one of the smarter things they've done in awhile, or maybe they just kind of forgot they were responsible for the final season.

Those are some of the best memes out there now too.

The funniest part is that it's not something that slipped out by mistake in an interview. It was a previously recorded spot for their Inside the Episode segment. Benioff is never going to shake that.

I'm satisfied with the ending. It's disappointing that Jon didn't become king and be rewarded for being pretty much the only decent person worthy of being rewarded with ruling, but he didn't want it.

He's happiest out in the wilderness with his best friend and his wolf - where he's completely free. He would have been miserable as king.

I think Sansa got the worst end of the deal. There must always be a Stark at Winterfell. She's stuck in Winterfell until she dies. Hopefully the final book (if it's ever released) will expand on the Jon/Sansa/Bran/Arya endings.

I'm hoping the same. I hate that the Stark children have been torn apart and will never be a family again. I'm hopeful that will not be the case in the books.

It's anyone's guess really. While I think Winds of Winter is completed, or very close to it, he hasn't finished the story yet. I remember at one point a few years ago he had blogged something about how he had just come up with a great twist for Winds. It was at a time when we thought it was almost done too, which deflated a lot of people.

Fairly recently Martin said he still had a few thousand pages to write. And while most of us have been focused on getting those last 2 books, I wonder how he can even finish it with only two. To me it seems like it'd take 3 to wrap up the story. He has too many characters.

Ugh, I just think Bran got rewarded for nothing. They really could have done so much more with him and just.....didn't.

None of it gets any better with time. They were focused on subverting expectations to where everything became nonsensical or anticlimactic. Jon should've faced off against the Night King and Arya should've been the one to take down Cersei. Lena Headey gave an interview recently where she said she wanted a better death for Cersei. Which wouldn't have been hard really, since rocks killed her. In the Winterfell battle that was overhyped for months we never even had our characters fighting white walkers either.

Maybe one day they'll redo the whole series once the books are (hopefully) completed. It's still such a huge letdown.

Yeah I read that interview with Lena yesterday. I do NOT blame her at all. That was such a ridiculous way for her to go out given all she has done over the years.

I would have liked it if Jon was given the throne and then abdicated and chosen to go north to live.
