In the car with Negan.

 

So I know that Gregory is seen with Simon in the trailer, but if it's him I don't understand why they would leave it so suspenseful. I guess just to keep people guessing until next week, but for some reason i feel like it would be pretty anticlimactic lol.

It's GOTTA be neck tattoo chick. That would be AWESOME if both Simon AND Dwight were on the outs with Negan at the same time. And it would round out what happened between Dwight and her nicely by season wrap up.

 

I wish Gregory was eaten and split up in several walker bellies. But I know better. I wanna say he was the one Negan picked up. But I have no idea where Hilltop is in relation to the trash heaps. He is likely cowering his way back to Sanctuary. But would the way back even lead to him and Negan crossing the same area?

 

To me, I guess it could be Gregory... maybe Negan sees him as being a way to get intel on Hilltop, etc. But it doesn't fully make sense, because it seems we've now gotten to a point where Negan has progressed as a character (thanks to Rick and Jadis encouters) beyond just being an a**hole fighting this war. Now, we have a human side and he sees that killing isn't the way; so intel doesn't seem like a straight-up MO like it may have been even a few episodes ago. Now, he KNOWS that Simon lied and betrayed him. He knows Carl is dead and wants peace, and there's a human element to his thinking more than we've seen before. All of that said, I go with Neck Tattoo who knows about Dwight's betrayal. That all fits in with where we are, one ep before the finale. Otherwise, we're just treading water unnecessarily too late in the season. My two cents.
