True, good point. I still find it odd that Michonne was worried she had been brainwashed though. It just seems like too short a time for that to have happened.

 

Michonne was so relieved to finally see Judith, because someone might have killed her in that shed. I think she was still screaming Judith's name. Then Judith came out but froze instead of running to her. In that split second, your mind can race in horror to find an explanation for why your little girl isn't as relieved to see you as you are to see her. It's just not the reaction you expect. It's only a brief mental consideration, but that moment when you scared yourself silly is so upsetting you don't forget it over the years.

 

I thought the same thing, that Michonne was scared about Judith's physical well being. And I do think that up until she was aware of what Jocelyn had done to these children that is exactly where her mind set was. On re-watch when Michonne is bandaging Judith's arm she does say "you were standing there like you didn't know me, for a second I thought I was too late. I thought that you changed, and that I lost you". I think it is only in those moments when toddler Judith seems detached, standing in the doorway of the RV that Michonne is scared about the brain-washing aspect.

And then amazing Cailey/Judith chimes in with "you didn't look like you because of the blood. Then I saw it was and I was happy you'd found me".....

This scene between the two of them will probably go down as one of my all time favorites of the series. It was just amazing, damn near perfection on the parts of both Danai and Cailey.

 

I totally saw it as Michonne being scared Judith had been "changed" already. And Judith just said, "no you were just bloody".

Could I dumb that dialogue down any more. LMAO
