Did anyone notice that Rick used this same line from from end of the pilot in the bicycle girl scene when speaking to Morgan while he was "passed out" on the cot?

Yes, that was a nice throw-back to when Rick was sensitive and aware of himself and the whole situation.

I noticed that too. Maybe a first step in his mental recovery?

I chuckled when I heard that. Kind of made me smile in a way.

I never picked it out and thought any importance of it, I remember the bicycle girl scene, though.

It was cool. It was like "Clear" brought TWD full circle in some ways. We finally got to see his hometown again and the man that helped saved his life. It was also a reflection on where they all were over a year ago, and are now. So I thought it was the perfect line.

Rick will never be the same again. He can't go back to being that person again, but he definitely needs to be a better version of his current self for him and the group to survive.

Agreed. This episode cleared a lot of things. Rick seeing Morgan after a whole year has gone by and seen what he has become. Made him somewhat less of what he was becoming. We also got to see Morgan again :)

Definitely noticed it. The writers seem to weave as much irony as possible into the episodes...

    I think it's a seriously beautiful line.

Weird though that he would say this stuff and yet leave that hitchhiker to die...That jaimee commons song is amazing though.

I was going to say the same. It shows how Rick's awareness of the situation has changed. In the beginning when he was still unfamiliar with what was going on, he spoke to the walker like she was still a person. Now he knows it's the living that it's "happening to" and not the walkers.

It made me sad rewatching the first episodes and seeing how upset he got over killing bicycle girl. If only you knew what was coming, Rick. :-/
