Well, that pretty much sums my way of life.

Thought a bit more about the Whisperers. Negan I found really scary for a while (before it was dragged out too long), but not them. I think it is because Negan was real, like everything else in this fictional world. Nutters, yes. But real, using real brainwashing methods, playing real games. But the Whisperers? They are just so over the top they feel more like some fantasy movie villain, not something of the TWD universe. They should be really scary and horrific, but for me it just doesn't work. They don't feel like real people, they feel like caricatures.

Throughout time, humans have found a way to adapt with their environment.
The whisperers are not different. It’s just unfortunate that they have an abuser as their leader.

Sure. But that doesn't change how I see them in the series.

I agree, and said somewhere else I think, that the Whisperers don't work to me either as a "realistic" group in the WD universe. They do feel more like something from a less grounded horror film. They're creepy in a different way, not completely uneffective, but I really hope we get rid of them sooner than later.

The Whisperers are dumb. Alpha is horrifying.

Morton is making the whole thing worth it. Beta is pretty cool too. But it's still un-WD like
