So did anybody else catch this?

This is another post-apocalyptic film that came out earlier this year to near unanimous critical praise, but was absolutely butchered by the viewing audience. It was a prime case of deceptive marketing as the trailer made it look like a fast paced horror film filled with monsters and gore.

In actuality, it's a very, very slow burn focused on paranoia and trust issues in a ZA sort of setting. It follows two families who form a very uneasy bond to pool resources and work together. Eventually things begin to unravel and end is absolutely brutal. I really wish TWD would have the "balls" to delve into more grimy and unsettling situations where you lose either way. It'll make for a more complex and interesting narrative.
