Jack about two reference points. One was whether Alicia was North or South of the Santa Monica fires. The second was how close was she to Catalina Island, which would giver East West information.

 

Yes, I thought the writers did a good job of setting her up. Despite it being very stupid to give away their location, it played out exactly as I would expect from a naive teenager at the beginning of a ZA.

 

Jack was totally fishing. Talking about the yacht and fresh water maker was pretty boneheaded.

 

I was under the impression it was Inoff?

 

Could be or even Mehoff or Shit.

 

It's too hard to say what or who Jack is. Can't tell yet if he friend or foe... My feeling is that he has nothing to do with the shot up boat..

 

i'm pretty sure he's a police officer. last name Mehoff

 

Right before Chris went into the water, when Alicia was talking to Jack. She heard gun shots. She asked if he was ok and he said they will talk later. "He hoped".
When they did. After the group found the shot up boat. Jack said he saw them and he would be there soon.
It was then, Strand got the warning of a fast boat, heading their way.
I think Jack and his group is responsible for the deaths.

 

At first I was quite sure as soon as she answered the radio that this guy was up to no good, however, I feel like that is just so easy. I wouldn't have any other plot in mind, though. He can't be a victim, since he still replied after the gunshots, and him saying "see you soon" was just too obvious. I wonder if they have any trickery in mind with this or just follow the predictable way. Either way, it's easy to say Alicia f*cked up, and I hope that this guy was the only one who heard about her location. For all you know, there's more boats listening to the radio.

 

I can understand Alicia being that stupid but she better learn her lesson from her on out. The scenario was written so we the viewers knew instantly where it was going to end up leading.
