Some of you wanted to see some more survival-based PVP. So I give you a brief look at an uneventful day in Ranchito Taquito. These fairly innocuous encounters were not even the most violent of the encounters we had that day. Sadly I didn't successfully record a significant encounter with a hacker and his pals (who has since been banned).

Some players were stalking and chasing a friend so we met them head on in and around the parking lot of a Romero's in H1Z1. When the dust settled, I was the last man standing and hit a loot jackpot.

Witness our joy when the recursive repair hammer mechanic and buffed repair effect hit the live servers. Watch as I repair a 14 deck foundation base within minutes as opposed to over an hour of hammering in the previous wipe. Now when you repair a structure all structures placed on top of it are also repaired, and so on up the chain. For example Deck foundation --- Shelter --- Upper Level Shelter. Oh happy day!

An alliance of squeaker clans with the clan tags NOVA and BR started hitting our location in waves not unlike World War 2 era Imperial Japanese Army bonsai charges. We found ourselves having to beat back successive waves of hard-charging squeakers speaking a disproportionate amount of smack (do they kiss their mothers with those dirty mouths?). In any event, the incident dubbed "The Squeaker Rebellion" by someone in the UnExPeCTeD clan was handled. The squeakers vanquished, their forward operating base raided, and 2 NOVA clan members suspended by Daybreak. I seriously doubt we've seen the last of this band of foul-mouthed squeakers. As NOVA clan tells the story, they are haters of a Twitch streamer named BruceLeeRob who has started playing with the clan and came hoping to kill him in particular. On this occasion though the only Twitch streamer on with us was ShootyGirl, who proceeded to reach out and touch the squeakers with her .308 rounds of doom. Unfortunately, I had to attend an event so missed much of the ensuing fun for the day.

While roaming around in a pack almost 20 deep we chased a group in a police car until we lost sight of them. Unfortunately for this guy he spawned right in front of the group while their virtual bloodlust was up and wound up getting beat to death by many pairs of fists.

I was way up in Ranchito Taquito when the bat signal went up that one of our bases in Lone Pine development was being raided by some kids from Pleasant Valley. I made the run south through The Villas and Bubbas and helped stem the tide killing the last waves they threw at the base(s) in time to save the base interior from being looted. They got past the gates and got no further. These kids seemed a bit salty about their plans being foiled and accused the clan of cheating. Some people just can't lose and say GG I guess.

Saw this on H1Z1's Test PVE server. Deck foundation appears to have decayed and disappeared. Leaving behind the base floating in the air intact. Deck foundations disappearing obviously coming to live. But there's still some kinks to work out looks like. Note the foundation ramp did not disappear with the deck.

I went trick-or-treating with some people for Halloween in the virtual world of H1Z1. A lot of it was fun. Some of it was stupid. Then there was just the bizarre situations and people one can run into exploring Daybreak's take on the zombie apocalypse.

During the course of my trick-or-treating Halloween excursion I delivered an impromptus sermon in the standalone church at I-8. Styling it to reflect the tenets of a fictional denomination I called the Church of H1Z1. A sect whose morality is tailored to existence within the context of a zombie apocalypse. It would seem the preaching brought in the residents of bases around the church to hear more of the sermon. Speaking in game voice chat usually attracts any scrubs within earshot though, so I had a line of "fire & brimstone" in mind if any were dumb enough to come and become the butt of the joke. It took only a couple minutes before the right sorts came around to play the fool. What I got exceeded even my wildest hopes when we were treated to one of the more spectacular displays of insecurity and overcompensation I've had the pleasure of documenting for all of you. Enjoy!

Caught these jokers breaking into shacks. At first I thought they'd blown up the door with explosives but note the lack of any damage on the structure and sleeping mat. Later on I catch them while I am inside the shack breaking in with a few swings of a demolition hammer. That door was only a few minutes old and they were in within seconds the door and just about every object inside the shack destroyed. When confronted about it they admit to using the demolition hammer "bug" but insisted it was not cheating. We had to agree to disagree and I promptly sent them on to their next life.
