I thought she looked sick early in the show, but got better as it went on. She almost lost her baby and saw her husband get his head mangled so I'd chalk her early appearance up to that.

Is it possible to have the placenta separate from the uterus when you are so early in the pregnancy you are still model thin? (I have no idea, and this is also meant as a joke about the writing).

By the looks of it, if she decided she didn't want the baby, the morning after pill would still do the trick.

I don't think being thin at this stage is so unrealistic - a lot of women lose some weight at the beginning of pregnancy because of loss of appetite and morning sickness. Plus it's not like she has a huge, neverending supply of food...and a lot of the nutrients go straight to the growing baby & placenta at the very beginning, taking away from whatever calories she might be getting. Oh and also, many women don't show very quickly in their first pregnancy. I did for some reason...i already had quite a substantial baby bump by like 4 months. Everyone is different i guess.
