Came across this the other day... It premieres next June but USA was kind enough to put the pilot on Youtube a month before. I really liked it, it's got a completely different feel than what USA usually does. First episode was directed by the same guy who directed Girl With A Dragon Tattoo and also has producer from True Detective.

    Here is the description...

"Mr. Robot is an upcoming American drama psychological thriller television series created by Sam Esmail that follows Elliot, a young programmer, who works as a cyber security engineer by day and a vigilante hacker by night."

Here is the link to the pilot...

    Check it out!

I've watched this a few times already and I must say... Rami Malek's acting is brilliant in this.

Just watch the first 5 minutes... that was all I needed.

It's got a Fight Club/Dexter feel to it if that at all sounds appealing.

Yeah, most definitely. Look past the title though. It's one of the best pilots I've seen in years. The hacking is real too, not that NCIS two people to one keyboard Hollywood hacking garbage.

    The overall quality is outstanding!

Its been getting great reviews as well.

Real bored today, basically watched a bunch of shows I've been meaning to watch. One of the shows was wayward pines and a commercial for this show was on while I was watching that show. It looked interested so I gave it a try. Just got done watching it and it was great, if the rest of the season is this good this show will be amazing. One of the reasons I did watch it was Christian slater, he was good but the guy who played Elliot was terrific. I don't even know when this show is on I just watched the first episode on on demand. I will have to keep my eye out cause this show is differently worth watching. And how many times can I write show in a few sentences.

One can hope... Mr. Robot did look pretty good, but especially for a first episode. I'm liking Wayward Pines too.

Awful title, but good show so far. Christian Slater is usually a death knell for most new shows recently, but hopefully it'll be different this time.

Btw, just to get it out of the way, Rami Malek does totally look like Bruno Mars.

They released the pilot a few weeks ago. Sometimes networks do that to build up hype for a new show.

Thanks for the heads up. I was reading good things about it somewhere. Will definitely watch the pilot when I've got a bit of spare time.

You're about the 4th person to suggest this to me in the last couple of day, so I'm becoming interested. Last night I had dinner with some family friends, and a 77 year old man brought up this show, and said he watched the pilot twice! For a 77 year old to get interested enough in a show to watch it twice....it must be good. :p. I'll have to try it soon. Better than Utopia?? ;)

I'm not 77 but I watched it twice also. It was very good and I've been running around the last few days since I watched this show telling people how good it is.

Same psychological thriller/conspiracy theory genre as Utopia, but two very different ways of exploring the genre.

Utopia is contemporary, very graphic, unexpected scenes and uses colour & music to further explore the genre. Utopia brought something new & fresh to television. (Who can ever look at a teaspoon again without thinking of Lee & Wilson)

Mr Robot is quite greyscale and explores typical representations of the psychological/conspiracy genre, but in a modern context. When you watch the scenes you're not certain if the scene is real or all just a fantasy in his mind.

Both outstanding shows for different reasons.

I actually just watched it a bit ago. I liked it. I want to see how it progresses. I was avoiding watching it at first because I thought it was some anthology type procedural show about computer hacking. But it was actually good.

Great second episode in my opinion!

So many questions. I can't wait to see how it unfolds.
