If he is anxious enough to have her tested regularly, I doubt he is shooting blanks, or at least knows he is.

True, but if the tests are controlled by the doctor , there is no way to hide the pregnancy.
I'll go not-too-far out on a limb , and say Negan has them tested so that any pregnancy can then be terminated as soon as it's discovered. Especially given [MENTION=107612]DragonRacer[/MENTION] saying that he finds babies gross.
Besides children are more mouths, that don't contribute, to feed.

Maybe TV Negan shooting blanks is the reason why the TV show Negan likes Carl (and picks on Rick) so much.

He's always wanted a son of his own but can't make one. And Rick, Negan's one-time mortal enemy and all-time personal b****, not only has a son but said son is pretty hardcore.

 

It never even crossed my mind that he could be testing so he could abort them! Especially with Dwight saying, Better luck next time.

I get the feeling from Sherry that she was just 'late' and only doing the test to find out if she was pregnant, instead of the situation being something that was planned between a loving couple.

Like others have said I don't think Negan can have any kids. He has several women at his disposal - none are pregnant

 

OR he knows he's sterile so he has his wives (especially Sherry) tested monthly to find out if they're preggers which would let him know they'd been foolin' around on him. I'd hate to be the wife on the end of that conversation. I have a feeling a Negan divorce could get messy.

 

A couple of dumb questions. Do pregnancy test sticks have shelf life? How much time has passed since zombie apocalypse has started?

 

Pregnancy tests do have an expiration date and expire in 2-3 years.

For that reason, I can see Rick absolutely panicking this next episode and Negan having some mixed emotions when Negan finds out that Rick also has an daughter. Actually, I can see Rick trying to hide Judith or pass Judith off as being someone else's baby so that she can't be used against him like Carl.

 

I hope they leave Judith out of this.

In the comics, Judith had been dead for ages. But, if memory serves me correctly, I believe Kirkman still brought Judith into it when Negan came and visited Alexandria. Or at least, he did when Rick first got to Alexandria and was speaking with Douglas (the comic version of Deanna).

 

I couldn't tell... is Negan trying to have a kid with her or is it just a monthly routine thing to make sure she isn't? I mean what would he do if she was pregnant? Kill her? Leave her? Raise it to be his future legacy holder? Where's the big guy stand on all that?

 

Maybe the pregnancy tests have the same miraculous expiration date that gasoline does, in the ZA!:zombies_lol:
