That's where I got the idea. It might not if it was written differently enough. I think he's a much different person than Phillip and his journey and any revelations gained from it would be different as well. But I really just don't want to be done with the character yet, before we get more insight into who he is. And I really don't want to wait until Kirkman decides to write a series of novels about him.

I love nega, IMHO the best bad guy in twd comics so far, but all i want is he having an epic dead, a glenn 2.0 dead, i want Maggie, Rick and Dwight to take turns to smash him with lucille, is that too much to ask? xD

 

Rick didn't kill him with the knife....at least directly. It's pretty obvious Negan is now infected, but he's still going to do some damage before he turns. I can't wait for next Wednesday.

 

Yeah it looks quite a shallow wound and Rick has planned on infecting Negan with his own plan. He will definitely do damage before he turns, im thinking the next few panels in 126 considering there is a group of armed men stood behind him and Rick is literally within his grasp! I CANT WAIT FOR WED

 

Wow, cant believe no one is talking about the next issue! I'll put it in all spoilers just in case.

 

I agree. It will likely be another situation where Rick makes a decision for the right reasons and then it backfires. It probably won't happen for at least a few issues, though -- just my opinion -- I see Negan as a factor simmering in the background while the storyline concentrates on other things.

Just finished the comics, Negan is a great character. When he makes the speech about big swinging dicks, I'm guessing he's a Wall Street guy.

I read an article where Kirkman wanted Jon Hamm to play Negan. He could be great for the role. He has the presence and the acting ability.

Personally; considering the swinging-dick bit, I get the feeling he's ex-military. He fits the mold of most spec-ops goons who go mercenary because the money is better. Just a big, violent, yet skilled powerhouse of a man with no concern for good or bad, right or wrong, just his own greed and self-preservation. No loyalties or allegiances, ideal or beliefs, no solidarity or fellowship.
