In preparation for maintenance, Epic Games is taking Fortnite offline, which means Battle Royale, Creative, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Festival will be unavailable during that period.

There will be a downtime during the release of Fortnite update 29.01 on March 19 as part of server maintenance and will be available for download on all platforms, including PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android and PC.



"Downtime for v29.01 starts at 4:00 AM ET with matchmaking disabled a few minutes prior," reads an Epic tweet.

There are no details on what new content will be coming in update 29.01, according to Fortnite insider Shiina. There will be a new Midas event, as well as the return of the Floor is Lava LTM. The Drum Gun is likely to be unvaulted as well as the Chain of Hades ability making its debut.
