On Tuesday, Gunzilla Games announced that it has raised $30 million in funding for its cyberpunk-style battle royale shooter game Off The Grid and its blockchain-based Avalanche platform GUNZ.

As part of the funding round, CoinFund and Avalanche's Blizzard Fund were co-led by Republic Capital and Morningstar Ventures. The combined raise consisted of a $10 million strategic token round, as well as equity and validators sales not previously disclosed.



Gunzilla previously raised $46 million in 2022, which was used for marketing the game at its launch. The latest funding will be used to further develop the GUNZ ecosystem.

In Off the Grid, 150 players compete in battle royale games that are ported on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. Unique game assets will be owned via Avalanche NFTs, and the game is operating its own Avalanche subnet called GUNZ.
