Did anyone notice that once they got to Hilltop, Lydia was studying the paintings on Maggie's office wall? Glenn, Hershel, and Hershel's wife Annette.

If I remember correctly, They had picked three houses with the largest fireplaces to split up and hunker down in. So they were going to one of the places that was already set up and likely stocked with wood vs going to a new, unprepared place.

If only Negan and Judith weren't there, then Rosita, Siddiq, Gabriel, and Eugene can really get super cozy next to the fireplace.

I think having snow flakes start to fall at the end of 9x15 was a lovely atmospheric touch, but I think it did lead to some confusion. I thought it was the start of the big storm as well and I
had to rewatch before it sunk into me that some time had passed and that many of our people (and Dog) were not where we left them.

It was still a bit silly to make such a big deal for the Judith group going from one house to another within ASZ.

The thing that had me confused was the final scene with the Whisperers and the green scenery. I somehow missed the part where they said they migrate like little birds and couldn't figure out why they were in a green haven all of a sudden. If it wasn't for the forum I'd still be wondering.

I am in the same boat, PepperAnn! This was such a short distance! I have to rewatch, too, and focus on where everyone is.

Neuro teased about Dog being lost within Alexandria's walls, but this very limited space still hadn't clicked. Various comments from everyone are making more sense now. lol

I had no idea this rope line was so very like Pa's rope line from the barn to the house. Pa wanted to be able to get back to the house alive if he missed the barn. When he successfully got to the barn, he connected the rope so he could make the twice daily jaunt. (Little House on the Prairie books, probably The Long Winter.)

You stick together in bitter cold. Combined body heat helps. Even bring in the livestock.

That makes sense. Waiting until a blizzard to perform routine maintenance on the chimneys doesnt.

Lindigo, you know it's funny cause you brought up Little House on the Prairie a couple of times and you have no IDEA how many times I've thought about Little House and Ma and Pa during this seasons episodes. Between the old-fashioned carts and wagons, the horses and the fair it seems like Walnut Grove all over again :D

Yes. I noticed and expected Daryl to tell her who the people were in the paintings but was surprised when he didn't give her any information.

OK, this is my best estimate of what happened about Negan rescuing Judith.
Green line is the route the group took to go from the church (after chimney exploded) to Aaron's house.
Red line is the direction that Judith went off. She ran off just about in a direction perpendicular to the escape route.
When Negan found her, she was in an open area and it should be the garden between the church and the windmill.
Blue line shows Negan taking Judith to the side of a building and put his overcoat on her before carrying her back.

So now all I can imagine is everybody finally gets inside and they start to undress and all of a sudden they hear growling and they turn around and see that a walker had been doing the conga with them the whole time unnoticed.:D
