Ok. That was gross.

I've handled everything this show has thrown at me so far, but seeing Bob with his leg cut off and Gareth chewing on a piece of it like a rack of ribs was pretty gross. Then seeing the foot on the fire......

I'm with you all the way.
Reconsidering how much I really need to see that?

I hate when they eat people!
Gareth not the Bad Guy? RIGHT!

Well, it certainly set the tone, that's for sure!

Certainly one of the more shocking scenes.

I am looking forward to seeing Gareth die. He is like a psychopath version of the spoiled little kid who can do horrific things, yet feel justified in doing them and that nobody should tell them otherwise.

I have not once been shocked by the show, I found many of the scenes macabre and I always felt the show was well put together in ways of blood and gore and drama and plot, until tonight... That scene with the bbq leg got to me, I honestly have to admit I'm not my usual smart ass wise cracking jokes in the face of the producers (and this forum) self after that.

On that note we can assume:

    1. Beth is either dead or half eaten by now.
    2. The reason the people in the rail cars were half crazy is because they eat them one limb at a time.
    3. They should have went back to Terminus and killed the rest, although I can't say that would have been a sure success either.

I think it's and example where more power of suggestion would have been, for me anyway, more effectively creepy and less just gross. Love the show, but for me they sometimes take too much delight in the gore when a less is more approach would set just as scary a scene. Like back in season one when Morgan's wife was rattling the doorknob. That scene rattled me, back then. Bob's foot scene rattled me too, but more in the sense of wanting eye bleach.

Although I found it to be one of the most shocking, I appreciate the in your face nature of what Gareth and his group are.

This season has already had some of the most screwed up scenes in the whole show.

The scene worked out just perfectly. People are talking, and Gareth is disliked even more as a character.

OMG Gareth is so freaking creepy.... the lip licking, and psychotic rambling that he thinks (and makes seem) totally sane and logical.

Gawd yes and the fact that he looks so totally normal makes him even creepier!

Ya. It was horrifically awesome. I could have lived without the foot on the fire but it was shocking and that isn't easy to do on TWD.
