    Hey, y'all. You may have heard of Richard Overton, but if you haven't, he's the oldest living US veteran, and he lives right here in Austin, Texas. He is 110 years old and has outlived all of his closest relatives. While he does have extended family, he's at the point in his life where he really needs round the clock care. If you are so inclined, his caregivers have set up a Go Fund Me page in hopes to raise money to pay for 24 hour care for him.

    Do you suppose he's related to Esmund Robert Overton, the owner of the Monroe family's condo, pre-apocalypse?

    Richard Arvin Overton died yesterday at the ripe young age of 112 years, 230 days. Parachute didn't open. And this is why I stick to chess and jell-o sculpting as hobbies. A life well lived, Richard. A life well lived.

    That go fund me page got all the way up to JUST short of 500k.

    He was supposed to be released from hospital last Thursday (week ago) and things took a turn. :(
