Wow most of you are being very kind. I was underwhelmed by this premiere. 3 or 4 out of 10.

What happened to the church dead bodies? mystery in the works?

Walkers turn immediately after death and I think move differently the TWD. Nick kills .. forgot his name.. and no blood on the cement to be found? no blood trail? Made the ending weaker. In some ways the episode felt a bit rushed

 

Walker Gloria followed Nick out of the church. The two nameless druggie/walkers she killed followed her. They all went to Polka Dot triangle and had a cappuccino to hang out before dinner.

 

This episode > whole season 5.
It feels good to know that somewhere out there Shane is still alive.
I wish they would do some short scenes where you see what The Governor or Merle is doing.

 

Watched it on AMC site tonight and liked it...at least 8. Nothing award winning yet and a few detail flaws not expected from the TWD folks but better than anything else in the time slot. I'll continue to watch and avoid the criticism forum here and just enjoy it for what is.

I'd give it a solid 8 out of 10.One thing I didn't like was the holes in the church.Where'd they all go?Gloria & all her victims?

 

It definitely was not as good at the pilot of Znation

 

Well of course it is all subjective! Forums are for people to express their opinions, right? Sheesh.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you don't mind hokey comedies set in a ZA than ZNation might not be too bad. If you are looking for a serious and realistic take on what it would be like than ZNation is an awful program (heck they had to copy off the story of a video game for crying out loud).

 

I give it a 8/10 as well.

The pacing was slow, but there was a nice suspenseful buildup throughout some scenes so I really can't complain. I am definitely looking forward to the next episode.

 

I think it's interesting how three of the American family member actors are British off screen.

You do realize that several members of the TWD cast are foreign actors as well don't you?

 

Yeah. It's really cool when Rick or Morgan or Maggie turn out to be Brits in interviews. On Fear even moreso because it's there out of four members from one family. One's a kiwi, one's a Brit, and one's an Aussie. Only Madison (Kim Dickens) is actually from the USA. God bless IMDb.

 

I try to avoid listening to interviews of the cast of TWD because I don't want those voices running through my head when I am trying to get into an episode with a bunch of characters from the deep south.
