Forget all that... Why the hell is Jesus kicking Rick in the gob?! Unless he made some comment about how Dwight nailed him from behind like a coward and Jesus thought he was picking on his orientation. Otherwise, I am speechless unless he is also in cahoots with Negan somehow.

 

Huh...I couldn't tell all of that when I saw it on my phone, but yeah, that's interesting. Especially given how already injured Rick is. And he doesn't appear to have the arrow in his gut anymore so this must be after they get that out. I'm sure that's something that'll be explained...unless Jesus IS bad. Which, just, no way.

I hope that is not the case, or it bodes badly for my opinion of Jesus. I just gotta say that it looks to be him at the moment. Could be just some savior that has some similar features, but I am reminded of a statement that was made that Jesus kind of vanished right as the fight began despite being front and center at the start. Could he be Negan's version of Dwight? Wouldn't that bite a big hairy one?

 

Rick is wearing a t-shirt during the battle and the lower panel. Guy getting kicked has a button up shirt or a jacket. Doesn't have Rick's full beard either.

Maybe it's Mop-Top savior, the guy Rick spares in #97 and is with Negan in #100. Could just be some random, too.

 

Good observations, still, it's hard to tell for sure with the lighting.

 

Nobody's commented on the van yet. Could it be that new group moving in?

 

I'm guessing the van could be Eugene's group? I imagine it's a pretty long walk from Negan's place to the Hilltop(I think it was specified at some point how far it was, when Jesus went after Kal, at least a few hours)

 

Yeah, Rick is just wearing a T shirt so if that is suppose to be Rick they made a major continuity error by suddenly giving him a button up shirt [although last issue his right hand grew back for one panel, so anything is possible]. Or its also possible that the prevew panels are out of chronological order, and the Jesus kick comes hours later when he IS wearing a button up shirt. But if it does turn out to be Rick [I don't think it will], then Jesus would just be kicking him to stop him from doing something suicidal, i'm sure. And if its NOT Rick, which is likely the case, its kind of weird that Jesus kicking an unknown made the preview panel.

I cant wait to see/read how this AOW arc will end. All we can do now is speculate.

Rick is still in trouble, but that van might be their help (Eugene and others). Wonder what will happen with Dwight after everything. He's also in pretty bad situation.

 

I'm not buying that it's Rick that Jesus is kicking. Not only the shirt and facial hair differences; but also they've featured several preview panels where they carefully chose a panel containing a main character look-a-like.

E.g. the #119 preview panels where everyone thought Dwight was dead.

 

So....is Rick going to die tonight/tomorrow morning? I wonder, I wonder. And be killed by Dwight, no less. I imagine that must piss off some fanboys that think the series can't survive without Rick.
