    Once again I am reviving my super old thread because i just discovered some new information that blows this debate out of the water.

    According to the perforated toilet paper patent from 1891, the toilet paper roll goes........

    I know, I was ecstatic to stumble on this amazing find! It's hard to argue with physical proof.

    It's good to see you around here again, Lexy! Earlier when i posted in here i was reading some of the earlier pages of this thread and laughing pretty hard at our posts.

    The guy who invented it said that it should be pulled towards you over the top. Personally I like it under the bottom.

    It depends on where the toilet paper holder is. If it is very low, then over the top. If it is very high, the under.

    I think we're soulmates, because I feel exactly the same way! Every time I see a roll go underneath, I find the bathroom's toilet-paper applicator/perpetrator and repeat the following:
