I'm sad to report that comic book writer, artist, and animator Darwyn Cooke passed away yesterday from cancer. Cooke was only fifty three years-old.

Cooke worked for all the major comic book companies, but he's best known for the mini-series DC: The New Frontier, which later became a direct-to-DVD animated movie.
