It's Punching people "Out", not "In".. I guess technically one would be punching someone in.....whatever.

This wasn't the 'comic-related-fight' I hoped for... This one really suck compared to the comicfight

Out would infer, Rick knocked him unconscious. But anway, I think both terms are acceptable. Whichever way you look at it, Ty had his arse handed to him by Rick.

    1. Yeah I noticed, that was odd...
    2. I think Rick would have stopped shortly after, he lost it for a moment, but then you see that look on his face, I think he realizes he was out of line, sure Tyreese punched him first, but he shouldn't have punched Tyreese again after he kicked him when he fell, actually, both of them were out of line.

1- I didn't notice that. But Chad Coleman acted very well in that scene, so nobody minds that.

2- Rick would have stopped without going too far. It was just an instant anger just like Tyreese had in him and Rick was just pissed off, he already told he was sorry later.

The writers needed to give Rick another hero moment to appease the fans. I guess the shirtless Rick scene from the last episode wasn't enough, they had to write in him taking down a 6'2 300lb black guy, to keep the fan girls panties moist.

I think it was just good acting.

I think Rick would have kept going, and Tyrese would have let him - dude gave up on life at that moment. But who knows? that whole scene was terrible and made no sense. If he had just taken out his frustrations on the horde of zombies that would have been more natural than him spazzing on the people he worked hard in previous episodes to establish a bond / trust with. At least then in that scene he would have been reacting on a build up of emotions / rage and it would sort of explain how he got through all of those walkers with that tiny axe.

Rick knocked down Merle twice, took down Shane, and whooped Tyrese' ass. Yes, it's getting a little crazy now.

While I agree, Tyrese is really not that big. He is about an inch taller than Andrew Lincoln and probably has 30lbs weight advantage. His size is exaggerated.

This is a good point. The actor that plays Tyrese iS really about 5' 11", maybe even a bit shorter. Obviously in the show, however, they are going to want him to appear bigger.

He looks much bigger. When I looked up Chad Coleman it turns out he's 5'9. That's an inch shorter than Bernthal and as tall as Lincoln.

Wow, you are right. I knew he wasnt that tall when seeing him next to the governor, but I did think he was close to 5'10-5'11

I wouldn't count Merle. He knocked him from behind both times. HE took Ty after he knocked to the ground with Daryl holding him. Shane is the only one who beat down. Temporarily.

Why would you count the Shane one? You mean the one where Shane dropped Rick and then focused on something else? If Shane was completely focused on beating up Rick, he would have easily.

Well, looking at the two of them, Tyreese just looks "denser". Bigger thicker bones, more muscle mass, but fatter. I'd say without one of them having an advantage of sucker punching the other, if Tyreese got in a few good punches in the beginning it would be game over. OTOH, if Rick could avoid him for awhile Tyreese would tire and Rick would have the advantage.

Rick is oversized in literally all his confrontations. Shane and Merle were bigger and stronger too. Rick is tiny, but seemingly good at fighting.

If Tyreese has lost a fight against Rick it doesn't mean that Merle, Shane or anybody else would kick his ass. They were different than Rick.

1: True, it was some good acting. When Daryl was pushed against the gate Carol and Rick rushed in and he put his hands out to them like "no guys, I got this" before he was all "we're on the same side". I don't know if that's what you saw, but it did seem like a pretty hard push.

    2: I didn't think Rick's retaliation was necessary, tbh...

HOWEVER, WTF was up with Carol's screaming? I would've pulled a Beth and fired a few shots to get them to stop.
