    Samantha Morton on Alpha and the woman behind the mask....
    But I’m not playing in my mind that she’s a villain. She doesn’t think she’s a villain. Just don’t mess with her. You know? You look at lots of politicians all over the world right now, and war, and how things happen, and how things can escalate, and I think she’s just incredibly strong minded. I haven’t played any scenes whereby it’s about pleasure, and I think that when you look at psychopaths, they get pleasure from their actions, whereas Alpha, it is just what this is about. She is leading an army, and she’s clever, and if somebody crosses her, then it’s different.

    I cannot wait to see more of her on screen. As an actress I adore her, have for years. So to have her on my favorite show, well I am just fan-girling all over the damn place

    So are we sure now that that's indeed Alpha walking toward the gates, back to the camera in the preview clip? If so, just by her stride she's imposing WITHOUT wearing Walker skin.

    I'm not familiar with this actress as far as I know. I like that she's going into it to play a character, not a villain, and her observation on how things escalate. Our people have used walkers/guts in the past to camouflage themselves so it will be interesting to see how this group came about taking that to an entirely new level.

    Of all the Jane Eyre's she is my favorite

    She was wonderful in Enduring Love (which Andy Lincoln had a small role in)

    Loved her in Minority Report (Agatha)

    In America (which garnered her several best actress nominations including an Oscar, Independent Spirit and Critics Choice)

    EDIT: I just read her Wiki page and she has more acting nominations than she can shake a stick at and then went on to win several of those nominations

    Yeah, reading that I'm pretty certain I've never seen her in anything but it seems like she's got a long list of accomplishments behind her. Looking forward to her bringing that talent to the show. Thanks for the link!

    I'm pretty impressed with this interview. Indeed her answers seemed thoughtful and genuine which I find rare in celebrity interviews.
