You been at that joint ahead of me? That’s a clear case of assault and that man should be held accountable. Why would you think I would want him to walk away scot free when video clearly shows him committing a crime?
I have no problem with that.

Here’s the follow up to the head kicker story.

He’s 19 yrs old and has been arrested. He’s also been charged in another head kicking assault as well. Hopefully justice will be served.

    https://komonews.com/amp/news/local...king-two-women-in-the-head-in-violent-attacks

‘Roberts says the unproved attacks shouldn’t have happened to her—or the other woman on the bus—on anyone else on the streets of Seattle.

She hopes the felony assault charge he’s facing will stick.

“Prosecutors need to step up,” said Roberts. “If he did this just because he just wants to kick someone’s head in, he should not get out for a long time.”

Roberts said the brutal attack will not stop her or other volunteers from doing the good work in the community they’ve been doing.’

Well, so much for Roberts cowering in fear. She’s one hell of a strong woman and I wish her the strength to see this through to the end.

    Good.

You know, I'm glad she has that attitude now. I hope she talks to someone though, as the psychological effect of trauma and ptsd tend to sneak up on people over time.

I thought I made one of those once upon a time.... I wonder what happened to it? In any event, how about this?

    "
In 2017, James Anderson was called to a home for a second opinion and caught a heating company who’d attempted to con an elderly and disabled man out of £5,500.

Disgusted and disheartened by this, he founded Depher (Disabled and Elderly Plumbing and Heating Emergency Response) and has since helped more than 10,000 families.

The 53 year-old pledged to help disabled and elderly people with their plumbing and heating “whatever the cost”.

But he has since branched out during the pandemic to provide food parcels, PPE, and even paying bills for people.

A father of six children, Anderson says he’s spent £57,000 during the pandemic alone—but added it was “worth every penny” if it kept people alive and warm.

“If you’ve got disabilities, issues, sometimes these things can become too difficult to overcome and we want to make sure they’re taken care of,” said the tradesman from Burnley, Lancashire.

“We’ve all got a social responsibility to each other – we need to be there for each other.”"

So this woman's body was found in a ditch and the cause of death was determined to be strangulation a couple of months ago. Now it's determined her death was a homicide.o_Oo_Oo_O ?? How many people walk in to a ditch and strangle themselves to death by accident? It doesn't seem like calling this a homicide months ago would have been rocket science. I mean, what alternative theory of the crime WAS there? That she was strolling down a random stretch of highway and accidentally walked right in to the hands of someone making strangling motions in the air who didn't notice her neck in his grip or see her in front of him and so didn't stop until she was dead? Seriously?

So a gay man met another gay man on a gay dating app and tried to murder him. The first gay man then called the police to report he had just murdered a man (but he didn't actually succeed in doing so). He apparently ASLO had Jefferey Dahmer's picture on his facebook page, which should have given gay man #2 pause before going over to his house, if he had seen it.

Now that's a terrible story, but the part I can't get over is this. Gay man #2, the survivor, has since said this:

""He could have done this to a woman," White said. "Instead, he chose to do something to someone who's gay and proud about his sexuality."

I just... can't understand where this man is coming from. What, women are just SUPPOSED to be the victims of violent crimes? Even a gay killer should just NATURALLY try and kill women, and you, as a proud gay man should be immune to that sort of thing? What a narcissist.o_O:rolleyes::mad:

Here's something really odd. Thailand harvests coconuts using forced monkey laborers. Just when you thought that cheap businessmen couldn't try and lower their labor costs any further...

    "
Target will no longer sell coconut milk made by the Thai company Chaokoh after an investigation alleged the drink is tied to forced monkey labor, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals announced Monday.

“PETA exposés have confirmed that Thai coconut producers are exploiting monkeys and lying about it, so there’s no excuse for any grocery store to keep Chaokoh on its shelves.”

PETA, which has been tracking monkey exploitation in Thailand since 2019, conducted two undercover investigations that found primates are forced to pick coconuts all day with chains around their necks. The group’s probe found “cruelty to monkeys on every farm, at every monkey-training facility, and in every coconut-picking contest that used monkey labor.”"

An interesting eco story. Salmon and trout are dying because they would swim around and around in circles rather than going somewhere. This has been found to be caused by a thiamine deficiency which in turn comes from the affected fish eating a higher amount of a fish called the alewife in their diet - a fish that has a high concentration of a thiaminase enzyme in it for whatever reason.

It's fascinating how such a subtle change can cause such unexpected reverberations down the line!

People in the Netherlands are rioting over curfews.

    "
More than 180 people were arrested in 10 Dutch cities as protesters defying a curfew clashed with riot police for a third night running.

Shops in Rotterdam were looted and police used water cannon, as rioters resisted latest Covid restrictions.

Prime Minister Mark Rutte condemned "criminal violence" and the justice minister said the curfew would remain.

The Dutch chief of police said the riots no longer had "anything to do with the basic right to demonstrate"."

In San Francisco even Abraham Lincoln is a bad guy now :rolleyes::oops:

    "
Not even revered former presidents George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson are safe from "cancel culture," it appears.

The American icons were among a list of historical figures whose names will be removed from San Francisco’s public schools following a 6-1 vote by the school board Tuesday, according to multiple reports.

Washington and Jefferson were both slave owners and Lincoln, who ended slavery, became controversial because critics claim he oppressed indigenous people.

The presidents were among a long list of men and women whose namesake schools will soon be renamed. Others on the list include Francis Scott Key, who wrote the words to the national anthem, former presidents William McKinley, James Garfield, James Monroe, and Herbert Hoover, Revolutionary War hero Paul Revere and author Robert Louis Stevenson, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Even an elementary school named for current U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., will be changed over allegations that she replaced a damaged Confederate flag outside of City Hall when she was the city’s mayor in 1986, according to Courthouse News. She didn’t replace the flag after it was pulled down a second time."

The guy who was harassing the Portland mayor wanted to apologize for his actions. This surprised me, as usually by the time someone's off the rails enough to follow someone around at night recording them and getting in their face they believe themselves to be justified in what they're doing.

"The Oregon lawyer who was pepper-sprayed by Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler over the weekend has released a statement saying he is "remorseful" after his confrontation with the official, according to a report."

Then... I read this part and realized that the man was likely NOT sorry at all, but his law partners put the fear of God in him and told him that someone who was willing to antagonize their source of revenue from the local government and businesses wouldn't remain a member of their firm. NOW his actions make sense. After all, a lot of people don't like their politicians, but most people need their jobs.

"He added: "I would also like to apologize to my law partners for my conduct." An employee at the law firm where Cadonau is believed to work would not comment when contacted by KGW8."

So this lowlife is in the NFL playing for the Seahawks and is domestic violence abuser. Reading what he did, "attempted murderer" might be closer to the truth. He needs to go to jail, and has been cut by the team for his actions.

That's the funny thing though. There are a couple of players that the Seahawks actually *hired* to play for them that did similar things on other teams before being HIRED by the Seahawks, so clearly they don't care about their players abusing women. Why then fire this guy? What makes him different?

Remember that guy Putin poisoned? Oops, you need to know "which one" of the people Putin poisoned? Navalny, the Russian opposition leader, made a video showing a palace which he says was built for Putin by 4 of his cronies for him using slush funds and kickbacks, and that although the paper trail was attempted to be hidden, it's his. Putin denies this. I guess it's a question of who is more believable, but I'd tend to believe the person who barely escaped the Grim Reaper, especially as it's apparently a common rumor in Russia and it would take a lot of people to build a place like that, and people talk.

In any event, Putin's vacation home is said to have a construction cost of over a billion dollars. Those buildings in the near background are part of the estate as well. One is, I believe, an ice rink and sports complex. There's also a casino on the property, and my suspicion is that Putin wins a lot. If you're a Russian businessman and need a favor from the government, or if you like "living", when playing cards with Putin it's probably in your best interests to "lose".

Regardless, I'd really like to see the interior of the place! I doubt if it'll happen, but you never know.
