Seriously. So I finally decided to actually make some classes with it the past couple of days and have found it to be a great weapon, which I didn't expect the slightest. While one would think it was made to fill the role similar to the F2000 (low damage-high fire rate assault rifle) and other weapons in CoD games, which it sort of does, it manages to actually be a viable weapon.

The one thing I don't like about it is its low damage at close range. 32, which means an unfortunate four-hit kill. However, its post-patch form also granted it a boost in minimum damage. Four hit kills to compete with other assault rifles at range. At range? Using a weapon with an RPM of 1000 at range? Yeah, contrary to belief, the actual recoil of the weapon is very modest given its fire rate. In fact, the fire rate is the only reason why its recoil is of any consideration. Throw on Kick and it's very capable of killing enemies at mid or long range with full-auto fire. Like the M4A1, You can ride on Kick and the Red Dot to great effect (though you'll run out of ammo quickly without Scavenger or a Specialist Strike Package). If you can deal with the recoil better, you can run some other Proficiency. The iron sights aren't so bad either, so you can go with a silencer or Extended Mags just fine.

So despite the low maximum damage, it's capable of going toe-to-toe with some sub-machine guns and does very well against other assault rifles. It's not a fool-proof weapon (bullets can go all over the place, so having a quick trigger finger is still crucial), but you'll be able to keep up with Steady Aim and Quickdraw.

Also, don't forget the high multiplier for headshots, at 1.7. Hipfiring has a good chance of scoring a headshot at some point, bring the number of shots to kill down at all but the longest ranges.

So, yeah. Just a FAD appreciation thread. Underrated as hell. I'm pretty confident that it would be one of the most common weapons if its maximum damage was a bit higher.

 

Yeah, probably will go for gold eventually.

I still hate the 95% mobility, so I've been running it on Overkill will the USAS-12 for the extra sprint. When you get the Specialist, you pretty much just spam the feed with the gun.
