There is a David Morrissey interview floating around somewhere were he contradicts himself. First he says "It would take me years to grow a beard that full, so we had to use a fake beard" and then about two lines later he says, "they told me to Shave my real beard off for the end scene in Internment, and then made me put a fake beard on that looked just like it." So which is it? lol.

 

He actually said:
"It would take me years to grow my HAIR that big, so that's a wig."
When I read the article for the 1st time I also misread it..:zombies_lol:

 

ahhhh, well then you have saved David from a dastardly scandal.

 

He got drunk because someone broke him the news that Mazzara was fired, so he went out to PARTY HARD!

 

Gonna miss the beard, never shoulda shaved.

With all the money TWD has for props, make up, and costume design I'd expect they spend more than $2 on the Gov's beard.
