Being a true Canadian, I thought Beta was tapping the trees to make maple syrup. :)
    My bad.

Well, being a southerner, :D I recognized right away that those were indeed pines.........but I couldn't really figure out what they were going to do with a bunch of pine sap.

And when they first lobed the sap bombs, my wife said, "That's gonna be a sticky mess!", to which I replied as it hit me, "And a FLAMMABLE one!". And then came the arrows!

    Sap bombs. Who knew??
Things like this are what make TWD so superior to the garbage on FTWD.

I had no clue that pine tree sap was flammable. Like others, I was thinking they were getting syrup until i realized those were pine trees.

Well the catapult throw was really dumb and unbelievable (both on distance and on accuracy).

That threw me off when those bombs started landing. I thought it was someone else that had come to help the Hilltop people.

I had the same thought as your wife! My mind went straight to "how in the hell are they going to wash off all that sticky gum"

Sidebar: I use the word "gum" because that is what my father always called it. I grew up in southeast Texas aka The Piney Woods. Our house was on 5 acres and we had over 300 pine trees in our yard. I can still see the "gum" that would seep from the trees and it was a damn sticky mess!

Being raised in the 1920's in The Land of Dairy Queen, I thought they were going to trap Hilltop in an enormous bubble gum bubble. But in hindsight, the flammable thing is probably more realistic.
