Anyone liked 'Oats in the water' during 'internment', I thought it set the scene really well.

I didn't like it. I didn't like the music in the last one either that was playing with Herschel. I thought it was pretentious. It didn't fit in naturally, it was distracting and took away from the scene instead of adding to it

The only song from The Walking Dead that I have really liked was Black from the Season 3 trailer, and that wasn't even actually in the show.

I wasn't saying that I didn't like the music in general but S4 is in terms of music just bad. They're trying to use these indie-hipster-country music to make the episodes something they aren't.

I think they're mainly using Songs that have a meaning behind them. I liked how they used the Songs so far in Season 4. The only song i really thought didn't go well despite also having meaning was "Hold On" last season

There's not been one song in the show that I disliked, especially this season. I think they've all been perfect.

I was listening to a podcast interview with the guy who did music for Breaking Bad. He also did the music for Six Feet Under. He said that he's always asked how he came up with such great obscure music choices for Breaking Bad and he said that the main driver was what he could afford to buy. He had to go with the cheapest music possible for Breaking Bad. He said the music budget for Six Feet Under was literally 100 times greater than the music budget for Breaking Bad.

So I would guess that the music budget for TWD is probably miniscule and that limits the choices they can make.

The song they used for the final scene of Six Feet Under was the perfect fit.

I like it when shows use music that's a bit more obscure, and stuff I probably haven't heard before, because songs you're familiar with come with a preconceived notion, or feeling to it. It can work too, but it's not as easy of a fit for me at least.

Don't know if it is that bad, but the music from the previous seasons are better, that's true.

In my opinion, "Space Junk" from the end of "Days Gone Bye" and "Civilian" from the Season 2 trailer and "18 Miles Out" are the best songs so far in the series.

I actually think Space Junk was the most out of place music when I re watched it the other day.
