Get ready, buttercups! It’s the most wonderful time of the year.... FILMING SEASON!! Season 9 is set to start filming on 4/30! Woohoo! We’ll be back to our usual shenanigans in the upcoming weeks!

Here’s a little bit of news to get us started:

- There’s an upcoming reoccurring filming location in a rural area in Brooks, GA off Line Creek Rd. It’s actually the same location that was used in season 3 when Merle and Daryl rescue a group on a bridge.

- There’s plans for road closures at this location running from the end of April through the end of June. So this spot will be used for multiple episodes.

- We will likely be shit out of luck when it comes to sightings/pictures at this set. So that’s unfortunate... But hey, at least it’s a cool location! (Thanks for the location pictures, Sideshow Bob!)

- Crews have been busy little bees working over at the Gin Property (Alexandria). Looks like there is some construction underway. We expect there to be some more changes to Alexandria in the coming weeks.

- One of those changes is a 55 ft windmill that they are planning on building. See the link for more information. (Notice the permit requests are for 3 years)

Norman posted this today. From now until the beginning of filming on April 30th he will be spending time getting acquainted with the dog companion Angela Kang hinted to us he would have starting in S9. They want the dog to think of Norman as its owner. Its name in real life is Monsieur Joggles, and it is provided and trained by Tom Turvey, of Summerville.

Anddddd, we have updated ASZ and Hilltop aerials......

All kinds of tid bits here!! What looks to be a system of gardens, Gabe's church appears to be transforming into something else. The town hall? Part of the fair? Maybe it will be attached to the base of the windmill, where they make the grain and bread? A system of walkways over the pond. Raising fish?? More posts and what appears to be a small section of wooden wall outside the east gate.

Hilltop has what appears to be a huge area of gardens/crops outside the wall. A water tower!! Several other new structures.

And don't forget, just like any love starved prison inmate, these pics get huge when you click on em.

 

This is a bit older. Taken about 2 weeks ago or so. Its the planned opening sequence for the new soap opera, Days Of Our Lives, Senoia Addition.

 

I found the drone video that those most recent pics came from. It was filmed on 4/21. Somehow this video disappeared into obscurity. After a week it only has 29 views.

 

Here is an interesting view of what is becoming of the area outside the wall where the burned houses used to be. Not sure what they are making here.
