For me it's left 4 dead, the second one. Because you can play trough the whole story with 3 more friends that makes the experience way more awesome and based on teamwork.

 

Resident Evil 4. I know a lot of people are pissed about what it did to the survival horror genre, but it was still incredibly innovative and just very, very fun. Story was mediocre, but the gameplay was worth it.

 

Definitely Left 4 Dead 2. Although I like the Dead Island series too.

 

I haven't played too many Zombie games but it's definitely going to be a toss-up between Left 4 Dead 2 and Killing Floor. I'm a complete sucker for these types of games and I enjoyed both games a lot. I have put way more hours into Left 4 Dead but that is because basically everyone I know has it, opposed to Killing Floor which was only bought by a few people I know. I think gameplay-wise Killing Floor has an edge but the custumization that is possible in Left 4 Dead makes it a more fun game for longer periods of time. I really can't choose between the two though, they are equally awesome.

 

I'd go with Resident Evil 2, Left 4 Dead 1 AND 2, and then Resident Evil 3. Resident Evil 2 is just the most classic zombie game, even more so than RE1, even though it came first. Two was such an improvement and really made the zombie survival horror genre a great category of games. Resident Evil 3 wasn't too bad either. The Left 4 Dead series came and brought new life into the genre with an action/teamwork take on things, too.

"The Last of Us" was one of the best of the genre I have played. I do have plenty of fond memories of all the Resident Evil series, and of course the TTG Walking Dead game is a fun romp. Dead Island deserves a mention, if only for the dire feeling that your best weapon will not last much longer, and you don't know where your next one is coming from.

Also Red dead redemption undead nightmare, bloody brilliant dlc.

 

Killing Foor, but L4D 1 & 2, DayZ and Zombie Panic! Are also awesome.

 

Really like the Dead Island games.

I found having to run back and forth when defending a base and trying to keep the zombies of the fences was brown trouser time.

But I really enjoyed lopping heads off with an electrified katana.

The Walking Dead game is my favorite. I also play zombie roadkill which is kind of fun.
