That came out of nowhere. I can't remember Tobin and Carol having any kind of interaction other than the first time they met in the armory.

 

She was tired of Darryl playing hard to get and Tobin was easy , one more notch for her belt.

 

Guys, come on- people kiss strangers all the time. It doesn't mean they are getting married! Carol is headed into battle the next day and a guy tells her how much he admires her and puts the moves on, like why not? Tobin is a good guy from what we've seen and Carol knows full well she could die tomrrow, why wouldnt she hook up with someone and get some lovin. She can't wait around for Daryl forever, and who knows if she's ever been with anyone besides Ed. And I think it goes without saying that she's likely horney and lonely as hell and desperate for some human connection in that way. I say go Carol and go Tobin- I hope he blew her mind

At Daryl's Ear Farm Carol was on the hunt and Daryl was her prey, but he was having none of it. He was as receptive to her advances as Beth's ear was to music. Tobin had no such trouble.

 

Perhaps, but that's often how things start- randomly or by chance. Or maybe it was just a random hookup and not the start of anything. I'm just glad someone showed Carol some love.

I'm glad Carol's getting some love too. She's one of my favorite characters but I'm afraid they might be setting up for her eventual death. Hope not.

 

...because they had to get the Tobrol spinoff show started somehow.

Because he saw her for who she really is. The good and the bad sides of her.
They did have an instant connection in the first scene of the episode. After the first scene I already wanted them to make out. Plus, I never thought that Daryl and Carol connected romantically.
