Ghosts is set in a different universe than the Modern Warfare storyline. By that logic, Ghost doesn't even exist in this timeframe. Neither does Soap, or myself.

 

Your talking to the captain of course and Ghost does exist in the new storyline. However you'll find him to be a specter of his past self (yeahhhhh?), guess he had to pay the Price for IW making MW3. The community completed bum-phucked him after IW dropped the Soap on that one, so much so they had to kill the Modern Warfare franchise like a Roach. Next thing you know they will make a crappy BLOPS III (Revenge of the Mason) and that will drop like a stone on metacritic which will not only signal the end of Call of Duty but the end of Activision when they apply for Section 8 where it will stay dead or live forever like a never-ending nightmare brought to you by the Sandman.

The fact that they named the game Ghosts is pretty telling. Not to mention the guy on the cover is putting on Ghost's balaclava.

 

So the Ghost perk comes from the character Ghost? Because they have the same name.

 

The name of the game carries a lot more weight than the name of a perk.
