E3 2016: XBox One Reduced To Lowest Price Yet
To clear the inventory and make way for the XBox One S, Microsoft has slashed the price of the original 500GB XBox One model again. From now until October 1, all versions of the 500GB XBox One (minus the three-game Spring Bundle) cost just $279. This is the lowest price ever offered for a current-gen system.
For those who don’t own an XBox One and would like a starting point, there’s never been a better time. If you want a more powerful model, however, you’ll have to fight the temptation. The XBox One S will cost just $20 more with the same-size hard drive, plus contain 4K video output and a Bluetooth controller. And it’ll be topped later: an upgraded XBox One, Project Scorpio, has been confirmed for the fall of 2017. It depends on what you’re willing to settle for.
The $279 XBox One is now available in most locations.
