Mod Turns Team Fortress 2 Into Splatoon
All things should be Splatoon. Going to the supermarket should be Splatoon — you quickly duck out of the way as the store clerk fires a shot of purple goo, then you whirl around and nail him with a giant roller. CBS programming should be Splatoon — as the cops walk over to the dead body for the ten thousandth time, they whip out paint shooters and cover the area in green before the other team can. Dogs should be Splatoon — don’t ask me how.
Team Fortress 2 wasn’t that far off from Splatoon as it was, it being a lighthearted, competitive team-based shooter. It makes sense that its fans would want the worlds of it and Splatoon to merge. And so, thanks to the mod community, they did: a new unauthorized patch introduces the mechanics of Splatoon into the game.

Everything works, more or less: the paint-covering, the team co-op, even the changing into a squid part. The downside is that the mod is an early alpha version and no one can really play with it yet. It’ll be great if they can pull it off, and if Nintendo can look the other way (I doubt they’ll pull a C&E on this; visually it’s far from a blatant copy).
