The Next Call of Duty Will Be Made By Treyarch
This year’s Call of Duty game will be made by Treyarch, Activision revealed this week during an investor’s call.
Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg didn’t share the name of the new title, but he said it will be “loaded with innovation.”
The title was, like Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, given the benefit of a three year development cycle. This is the first time Treyarch, Developer of the Black Ops games, Ghosts, World at War and more has been given such a long time to polish a game.
That’s significant for a studio that has been working on Call of Duty games since they featured World War II, starting with Call of Duty 2: Big Red One in 2005. We’re looking forward to what Treyarch has to offer.
