Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Debuts At Sony Conference
After years of unquestioning loyalty to the XBox brand (for reasons we’re sure have nothing to do with cash donations under the table), 2015 marked the first E3 in quite a while that the Microsoft conference played out without new Call of Duty footage. Instead, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 made its worldwide debut in the Sony camp, and not only that, henceforth the Playstation 4 will be the console that gets Black Ops 3’s DLC first. Previously, it’s been the XBox.
It was during Sony’s E3 conference that we caught the first gameplay footage from Black Ops 3: both single-player and multiplayer, with an emphasis on the multiplayer. Here’s some of Activision’s official words:
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 expands the possibilities of Call of Duty Multiplayer. The new movement system allows players to fluidly chain movements together while playing in maps that have been designed from the ground-up to push strong head-to-head action. Choose to play as one of nine new Specialists, each with their own look, personality, abilities, and level progression system. Finally, equip up to five attachments and an optic while customizing nearly every aspect of your loadout with the new Gunsmith, then tap the power of the Weapon Paintshop to give your weapon a signature look.
If you missed the conference, you can check out the entire multiplayer video below and see this stuff in action:
